Project Manager

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is looking for a Project Manager in Dubai to manage the operational aspects of its projects and engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the project life cycle on a global scale. The role covers project execution, accounting, financial management, business development support and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute project work plans, identify resources and assign responsibilities, and manage day-to-day operations and scope.
• Review deliverables before they go to the client, prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance, and minimize project risks.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and properly stored.
• Manage the project budget, determine revenue recognition, follow up on unpaid invoices and analyse profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
• Forecast revenue and profitability accurately, understand the pricing model and billing procedures, and ensure legal documents are completed and signed.
• Assist application engineers in the sales department.
• Facilitate team and client meetings, hold regular status meetings, keep the team informed of organizational changes and communicate project information to superiors.
• Resolve or escalate issues promptly and communicate sensitive information tactfully.
• Maintain awareness of new technologies and their applications for client engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in project management.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment practices preferred.
• Strong account management, leadership, client management and business writing skills.
• PMP certification.
• Fluent in English; periodic domestic and international travel required.

Required skills

• Understanding of scope, schedule, planning, time management, resource management and cost management.
• Ability to analyze problems, recommend and negotiate solutions.
• General understanding of equipment manufacturing and fabrication, and of the company's capabilities.
