Project Manager - Stormwater

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Project Manager to lead its stormwater management initiatives in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role covers the full project lifecycle of stormwater infrastructure projects, working with engineering teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management, from planning through completion
• Develop project plans, schedules and budgets; monitor progress and take corrective action
• Coordinate engineers, contractors, consultants and government agencies
• Manage budgets, track expenditures and control costs
• Identify and mitigate risks and prepare contingency plans
• Maintain detailed documentation, reports and technical specifications
• Hold stakeholder meetings and report progress to senior management and clients
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards and safety protocols for UAE projects
• Manage contracts and vendors, and enforce quality assurance procedures

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years in stormwater or civil infrastructure projects
• Proven experience as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) or in a similar oversight capacity
• Experience on projects in the UAE or Middle East is highly desirable
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred

Required skills

• Budget management, cost estimation and financial forecasting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Primavera or equivalent
• Knowledge of stormwater management systems, drainage infrastructure and civil engineering principles
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and environmental regulations is an advantage
• AutoCAD or other design software knowledge is advantageous
