Project Manager - Switchgear & Automation

About the role

Lucy Group Ltd is hiring a Project Manager in Dubai to oversee complex power and automation projects, from order confirmation to final delivery. The role handles high-value contracts, intricate technical configurations and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of Switchgear and RTU projects with high BOM complexity, developing detailed plans, timelines and resource allocations, monitoring progress and managing risks.
• Act as primary contact for key customers and stakeholders, run regular project reviews and follow up on monthly targets for payments, letters of credit and performance documents.
• Manage the internal project team and coordinate with engineering, procurement, suppliers, production, sales, order handling, logistics and finance.
• Coordinate FAT inspections, close outstanding comments and obtain dispatch clearance; review and validate quotations and technical specifications.
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments and commercial negotiations, and provide pre-sales technical guidance and product demonstrations.
• Maintain project records, schedules, budgets and reports, support audits and post-project reviews, and ensure timely invoicing and closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Five to ten years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical distribution or industrial equipment.
• Experience coordinating customers and dealing with UAE utilities is an advantage; Arabic speaking is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence and preferably own car; handles subcontractor coordination as needed.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of power and automation systems, electrical distribution networks and BOM structures.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project and Primavera, and ERP systems such as SAP.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
