Projects Engineer - Supply Operations

About the role

The Engineer, Projects Supply Operations is responsible for designing and developing all new supply operations projects so that they are cost-effective and compliant with standards for product quality, asset compliance and functional requirements. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from conception to commissioning, coordinating with Operations teams, Engineering and external stakeholders, while preparing and controlling project budgets and keeping projects aligned with corporate strategy and regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, budget and comply: prepare and control capital budgets for new projects and for replacement facilities, review consultant and contractor designs, technical specifications and costs, and ensure compliance with ADNOC and regulatory guidelines, including product integrity, HSE, process safety assurance and ease of operability.
• Advise supply operations managers on contractual matters such as scope changes, additional work and contractor claims.
• Hold weekly site meetings with consultants, contractors and suppliers, inspect new terminals, facilities and equipment, and submit weekly progress and monthly status reports to management.
• Prepare investment case studies with forecast cost studies and resolve issues arising during the project lifecycle.
• Work with the Procurement and Contracts Division on tenders, support bidder pre-qualification, arrange pre-bid site visits and handle clarifications and technical evaluations.
• Manage handover to Operations, develop commissioning procedures with the Operations team, consultants and contractors, and coordinate with stakeholders for client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Science or engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or another relevant field.
• 6-8 years of experience in supply operations, maintenance and projects.
