PSD Technician – Platform Screen Door Maintenance

About the role

KEOLIS is seeking a skilled PSD Technician to join its Dubai Metro team. You will support the safe and reliable operation of platform screen door (PSD) systems through preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with tight schedules and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the PSD Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance, modifications, and inspections of PSD systems.
• Perform routine inspections, detect surface defects, and carry out repairs, technical cleaning, and component replacements.
• Test functional performance of electromechanical assemblies using specialized test instruments.
• Supervise repair, rework, and adjustment activities, verifying dimensions and clearances against specifications.
• Diagnose faults quickly, replace faulty components, and document work in the CMMS.
• Support complex system implementations and new projects as required.
• Provide first‑line response support and undertake night‑shift or emergency duties when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience maintaining PSD or similar electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good eyesight.
• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Electromechanical testing and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical adjustments, belt tension measurement, and part replacement.
• Use of hand tools, power tools, fixtures and electronic test equipment.
• Operation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Interpretation of technical drawings and preparation of simple reports.
