Purchaser - Car Buyer

About the role

Dubizzle, part of the Dubizzle Group, is hiring a Purchaser (Car Buyer) in Dubai. The role involves buying cars for retail and managed service so they can be advertised on the Dubizzle Cars platform, generating new listings, increasing inventory and meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase cars for retail within the given criteria and price them for managed service
• Negotiate with customers to price cars effectively and achieve a healthy retail margin of 10%
• Maintain healthy stock with an average days-in-stock of 30 and meet monthly targets and margins (retail, managed, auction)
• Perform outbound on-call consultations to generate new branch sign-ups
• Adjust vehicle prices to reflect mileage, colour, warranty/service, engine, specifications and condition
• Enter customer and car data into the Salesforce CRM system and build customer relationships
• Oversee the representation process, from meet-and-greet to handover

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• Valid UAE driver's licence
• Minimum of 2 years of automotive experience
• Relevant expertise in used car purchases or sales
• In-depth knowledge of the used car market and expertise in a wide range of makes and models, especially for GCC vehicles
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills, and high-level interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time; highly presentable with a professional attitude

Required skills

• Previous experience using CRM software/apps (preferred: Salesforce)
• Used car market knowledge and GCC vehicle expertise
