Purchasing Officer

About the role

The Purchasing Officer will lead the procurement function, managing both direct and indirect material sourcing, supplier relationships, and risk mitigation to support SKM's HVAC manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and develop buyers, ensuring KPI targets are met and fostering skill growth.
• Design and implement optimal purchasing processes, policies, and training aligned with internal controls.
• Develop sourcing plans and strategies for products and services, overseeing the entire procurement operation.
• Maintain effective communication with internal departments and suppliers, handling delivery issues and ensuring documentation compliance.
• Prepare annual budget plans, monitor implementation, and provide analysis to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement or a related field.
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering concepts.
• Experience in HVAC manufacturing, split and central A/C control systems, and refrigeration/electrical parts.
