PYP Cover Teacher (Early Years–Grade 5) – Maternity Cover

About the role

We are seeking an innovative PYP Cover Teacher for Early Years to Grade 5 to join GEMS World Academy‑Dubai on a maternity cover basis starting August 2026. The role is part‑time and will involve delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging PYP lessons across subjects for Early Years to Grade 5.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to data‑driven curriculum planning.
• Collaborate with the Primary School team to ensure continuity of learning during the maternity cover period.
• Uphold the IB Learner Profile and school ethos in daily interactions.

Required profile

• Qualified teaching degree (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of primary teaching experience, preferably within an IB environment.
• Strong alignment with IB philosophy and a passion for multicultural education.
• Already residing in the UAE with a valid work visa.

Required skills

• Experience delivering the IB Primary Years Programme.
• Ability to design inquiry‑based learning activities.
