QA/QC Engineer – Overhead Transmission Lines (UAE)

About the role

A multinational organization is hiring a QA/QC Engineer to support its transmission line projects across the Gulf region. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in quality management for 220 kV / 400 kV / 765 kV overhead transmission line (OHTL) works, including implementing international QA/QC standards, leading audits and ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements. The position is based in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor QA/QC systems, procedures and project-specific quality plans
• Inspect foundations, tower erection, stringing and substation works
• Review and approve material testing reports and ensure compliance with technical specifications
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors on all QA/QC matters
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation: ITPs, checklists, NCRs, method statements and quality reports
• Lead internal audits and keep accurate records of QA/QC activities
• Identify, report and resolve non-conformances with project teams
• Support construction teams in maintaining quality and HSE standards on site

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a regular college (mandatory)
• 5 to 14 years of proven QA/QC experience
• Hands-on experience executing 220 kV / 400 kV / 765 kV OHTL projects
• Valid passport with at least 9 months of validity (for the Gulf)
• Strong spoken and written English
• ISO certification as Internal Auditor preferred
