QC Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a full-time QC Engineer for its E&I discipline in Al Ruwais. The engineer plans and controls quality activities according to the quality management system set by the QC Manager, and manages inspectors for their discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, control and perform inspections and tests, and manage inspectors for the discipline
• Establish Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and ITP matrices, distribute tasks to inspectors and review construction procedures and method statements
• Implement quality training for construction and quality staff, promote risk management and ensure lessons learned and preventive actions are applied
• Set quality performance indicators, coordinate corrective actions with other disciplines and liaise with clients on quality issues and NCRs
• Manage work through FMCS and SCMS, conduct audits and inspections, and identify and mitigate quality risks
• Support quality objectives with cost control and statistical data when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a relevant field
• Minimum 8 years as a QC Engineer on oil and gas projects, core in electrical activities, and at least 15 years combined in QC Engineer and inspector roles
• Medium to large project experience, oil/gas/petrochemical or power plant experience, and E&C company experience
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation standards (NEC, IEC, ISA)
• Preferred: COMPEX or TEXISO certification, and ISO Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification
