QC Inspector - Coating Quality

About the role

The QC Inspector supports the Coating quality department by inspecting and testing coated components. The role works closely with production teams to maintain high quality, troubleshoot issues and ensure work complies with company SOPs and industry specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and non-destructive inspections of coated parts according to SOPs.
• Measure and verify coating thickness, adhesion and surface finish with calibrated equipment.
• Document inspection results, generate reports and track non-conformances in the quality system.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective action for defect trends.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, client specifications and industry codes.
• Maintain inspection tools and calibration records.
• Give production teams real-time quality feedback and take part in internal and external audits.
• Promote a safety-first culture and continuously improve inspection procedures.

Required profile

• Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or coating environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders and technical documents.
• Excellent critical thinking, teamwork and English communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and API standards is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with coating inspection tools such as micrometers, coating thickness gauges and ultrasonic testers.
• Strong understanding of coating processes, specifications and quality standards.
