Quality Assurance - Food

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Quality Assurance professional for a restaurant or food service operation in Dubai. The role covers developing and maintaining the quality assurance program, evaluating food quality and the cleanliness of equipment and work areas, and helping recruit staff.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enact the Inspection Plan and interpret, build upon and comply with company quality assurance standards.
• Ensure customer requirements are met and keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and other activities.
• Help develop policies and procedures so that food is safe, of the right quality and meets regulatory requirements.
• Conduct hazard analyses, monitor quality measures and coordinate training so employees meet quality standards.
• Plan and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing products, and track quality levels, CSR, environmental and health and safety KPIs.
• Analyse product complaints and quality issues, and develop or update complaint and inspection procedures.
• Maintain complaint and non-conformance records, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, and monitor risk-management procedures and problem logs.
• Provide training and support to the quality assurance team, and pursue continuing education.

Required profile

• HACCP certification.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the F&B industry.
• Thorough knowledge of local quality and safety regulations, codes and standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain safety requirements to diverse audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
