Quality Control Engineer – Join a Leading Engineering Group

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer to strengthen our Quality team. You will oversee material inspection, fabrication, testing, and final product realization, ensuring every project meets approved procedures, client specifications, international standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Verify incoming materials against Material Requisitions, LPOs, and purchase specifications.
• Review and validate material test certificates for compliance.
• Maintain material traceability by assigning unique identification numbers.
• Issue Non‑Conformance Reports for non‑compliant materials or fabrication deviations.
• Ensure approved Welding Procedure Specifications are available and applied on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with Production Engineers and Welding Supervisors to enforce welding practices.
• Conduct stage‑wise inspections according to Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Control Plans.
• Witness Destructive Testing, Non‑Destructive Testing, and pressure testing activities.
• Inspect blasting, painting, and coating works per project specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate measuring and testing equipment.
• Prepare and archive inspection records, test reports, qualification documents, and final quality dossiers.
• Support preparation of inspection and test packs for project handover.
• Collaborate with clients, third‑party inspectors, and classification surveyors on quality‑related matters.
• Communicate findings and quality status to senior engineers and stakeholders.
• Guide QC Inspectors and promote adherence to quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or professional training in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Lead Auditor – ISO 9001 certification (mandatory).
• 5–10 years of experience in quality control, inspection, and fabrication within engineering, manufacturing, marine, or oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, inspection processes, welding inspection, material traceability, NDT/DT coordination, pressure testing, and project documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English.
