Quality Inspector – Electrical (Oil & Gas)

About the role

TalentOne is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector – Electrical to support an Oil & Gas/EPC project in Habshan, Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting and monitoring electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and relevant codes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct electrical inspections and witness tests in line with ITPs, specifications and drawings.
• Inspect cable trays, conduits, supports, underground stub‑ups, cable trenches and cable installations, verifying segregation, routing, glanding, termination, dressing, identification and final torqueing.
• Witness and document cable tests such as insulation resistance, continuity, high‑potential and polarization index.
• Inspect installation and preservation of transformers, switchgear, MCCs, bus ducts, UPS systems, batteries, chargers, motors and distribution boards.
• Perform earthing and lightning‑protection system inspections, including electrode and cable testing.
• Carry out hazardous‑area electrical inspections according to IEC 60079‑14 and IEC 60079‑17.
• Coordinate RFIs and site inspections with construction teams, subcontractors, clients and third‑party inspectors.
• Review inspection reports, test records, material certificates and method statements, ensuring timely closure of RFIs, QC instructions and punch items.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an electrical quality inspector on Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
• Familiarity with Inspection and Test Plans, RFIs and QC documentation procedures.
• Ability to work closely with construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping throughout project lifecycle.

Required skills
