Quality Management & EHS Specialist

About the role

CAE is looking for a Quality Management & EHS Specialist to support Quality Management and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across its Defence & Security operations in the Middle East, mainly the UAE and Qatar. The role covers compliance, audits, continuous improvement and operational excellence across several sites. It is a regular position.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, implement and improve the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and corporate quality requirements.
• Support EHS programs aligned with ISO 45001 and CAE standards.
• Plan and run internal audits, external certification audits, customer audits and surveillance activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, environmental, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformities, incidents and corrective actions, and carry out risk assessments.
• Support process development, improvement and documentation, and develop QHSE performance metrics and KPIs.
• Support emergency preparedness, incident management and training, awareness and communication activities.
• Travel to operational sites in the UAE and occasionally to Qatar (about 20%).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, quality, safety or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience supporting Quality Management Systems, including practical application of ISO 9001, and internal audits or quality reviews.
• Knowledge of risk management, corrective actions, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills, and ability to work independently across locations.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally and access operational and customer sites.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and integrated Quality and EHS systems.
• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Internal auditor certification, Six Sigma, Lean, PDCA or similar continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in defence, aviation, aerospace, maintenance, simulation, training or engineering, and in multinational teams.
