Quality Manager – Engineering & Procurement for Offshore Water Injection

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Project Quality Management System for the UZ Islands Offshore Water Injection Project. The role starts in Abu Dhabi, moves to the fabrication yard, and later to the offshore site during execution and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan, set quality objectives and KPIs, and report performance to project management and client.
• Lead quality assurance and control activities across engineering and procurement phases, ensuring compliance with ADNOC, contract, and international standards.
• Manage supplier quality programs, conduct audits, qualify vendors, and oversee inspection & test plans for critical equipment.
• Handle non‑conformances, root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives, and maintain all quality documentation and records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) required; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
• 20‑25 years of quality management experience in oil & gas, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience supporting engineering and procurement on EPC projects, preferably offshore brownfield developments.

Required skills

• Quality management systems (ISO 9001) and risk‑based quality management.
• Supplier qualification, auditing, and surveillance (SAP QM, Intelex, ETQ Reliance).
• Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and material traceability.
• Software: Aconex, AVEVA Engineering, Power BIMS, Office Suite.
