Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our engineering consultancy in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, residential and industrial.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Manage project budgets, produce financial reports, forecast costs and identify savings.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Monitor expenditures, perform cost‑value reconciliations and allocate costs across work packages.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress and align financial targets with actual construction.
• Administer contracts, manage change control, variations, claims and final account settlement.
• Support risk management by identifying cost risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying and cost management experience in construction or engineering.
• Proven expertise in cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Professional membership or certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS, CIQS) preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
