Quantity Surveyor – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will lead the full procurement cycle for major construction contracts, consultancy services, and nominated subcontract packages. You will work closely with design, project management and contracts teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement for main contracts, including direct contracts and material purchases.
• Prepare, review and validate tender documentation such as drawings, specifications, BOQs and commercial conditions.
• Float tenders, coordinate bidders, and monitor submissions to meet deadlines.
• Address RFIs, issue tender clarifications and evaluate commercial and technical compliance of bids.
• Verify quantities, measurements and pricing against drawings and BOQs.
• Prepare commercial bid evaluations, tender analysis reports and benchmark against budgets.
• Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to achieve best value.
• Draft contractual documents including Letters of Award, Purchase Orders and Consultancy Agreements.
• Maintain procurement trackers, tender registers and reports.
• Evaluate and pre‑qualify new vendors to expand the approved database.
• Identify value‑engineering and cost‑saving opportunities during procurement.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying/pre‑contract procurement with a reputable main contractor or developer.
• Proven experience in high‑rise, mid‑rise residential/commercial, villas, townhouses, mixed‑use and master‑planned communities.
• Strong background in pre‑contract quantity surveying, tendering and commercial evaluation.
• Excellent negotiation, vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
