Quantity Surveyor - Site Supervision

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative Quantity Surveyor with site supervision expertise to join its team in Abu Dhabi. The role covers cost management, contract administration and on-site supervision for construction projects, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance and strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor site activities against schedule, quality standards and safety regulations
• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts
• Administer contracts, including review, negotiation and enforcement of terms
• Process variation orders, change requests and claims with documented analysis
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery and cost optimisation
• Conduct site inspections and prepare progress reports for stakeholders
• Analyse project performance data and recommend cost control improvements
• Maintain project documentation such as contracts, invoices and correspondence
• Identify and mitigate project risks and ensure compliance with local building codes and UAE regulations

Required profile

• Minimum 7 to 8 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, with expertise in cost estimation and budget management
• Proven ability to analyse financial data, prepare forecasts and manage project budgets
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with large-scale or complex construction projects is highly preferred
• Certifications or professional qualifications in quantity surveying are preferred

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in cost estimation software and project management tools such as Primavera P6
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of contract administration, construction law and standard forms of contract
