R&D Engineer – Product Development

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic R&D / Product Development Engineer to drive innovation and enhance our busbar trunking product line. You will work closely with Offering Management, Marketing, Sales and other internal teams to bring new products from concept to market.

Key responsibilities

• Define product specifications, features and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC61439, UL857).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo, SolidWorks or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to source components and materials.
• Follow the NPDI process, complete documentation and manage engineering change requests.
• Conduct DFMEA and risk assessments, and maintain organized drawing libraries.
• Build prototypes and support testing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design technology or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with power distribution or data‑center applications is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
