Real Estate Development Director

About the role

The Real Estate Development Director is a part‑time, remote position responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of development initiatives from early concept through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential development sites.
• Lead feasibility analyses and coordinate due‑diligence activities.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with investors, consultants, and local authorities to secure approvals.
• Review contracts and proposals, assess financial and market data, and prepare recommendations for leadership.
• Monitor project risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and recommend strategic adjustments.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in real‑estate development, site selection, entitlement processes and coordination of development activities.
• Proficiency in feasibility studies, due‑diligence and market data analysis.
• Experience in project management and budgeting, including scheduling, cost control and milestone reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with clear communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software tools such as Excel and project‑management platforms.
• Prior experience in real‑estate development, construction management or related fields; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
