Reception Manager

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Reception Manager to lead the reception, hostess and reservations team at SUSHISAMBA Dubai, a high‑volume luxury dining venue offering Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. The role focuses on creating outstanding first impressions and ensuring seamless front‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the reception, hostess and reservations team, maintaining high service standards.
• Oversee daily reservations, guest arrivals, table allocation, seating arrangements and waiting lists to optimise guest flow.
• Deliver personalised welcomes, especially for VIPs, regular clientele and special occasions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, hotel partners and key clientele to enhance loyalty.
• Coordinate closely with Restaurant Management and Operations to ensure seamless service during peak periods.
• Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Monitor reservation trends and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage team scheduling, briefings, training and performance development.
• Ensure the reception area and guest communication reflect the brand’s luxury positioning.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as Reception Manager in luxury restaurants or fine‑dining environments.
• Previous experience in reputable European dining venues is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reservation and table‑management systems, preferably SevenRooms.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume operations and VIP clientele.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and guest‑engagement skills with an international clientele.
• Impeccable grooming, professional presentation and passion for luxury hospitality.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
