Receptionist (UAE National) - Muna British Academy

About the role

Aldar Education is hiring a Receptionist (UAE National) for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing immediately. The school, which follows the National Curriculum of England and serves over 700 students from Nursery to Year 6, is relocating to Saadiyat Island and plans to open Year 7 next year. The receptionist acts as an ambassador for the school, delivering high-quality customer service to families, children, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer and respond to parent queries with knowledge of the Academy.
• Guide parents on student registration and admissions during the initial enquiry.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance registers, confirm attendance with class teachers, record late and absent students in the Engage system and contact families about absences; liaise with the school nurse on medical absences.
• Provide clerical support: photocopying, filing, faxing, forms, routine correspondence, word processing, database entries, basic spreadsheets and data lists.
• Sort and distribute mail and couriers, attend meetings as required, and answer, screen and forward calls professionally.
• Keep the reception area tidy and provide accurate information about the school, curriculum and fees.
• Assist the Admissions team with inbound and outbound calls, log enquiries in the MIS database, arrange visitor transport and support the SLT team.

Required profile

• High School Certificate/Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
• Two years' experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic, and customer-focused attitude in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong interpersonal and office management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PC, photocopier and office machines.
• Microsoft Office and Outlook 365.
