Recreation Attendant – Guest Services

About the role

Join the Recreation team at InterContinental Abu Dhabi and help create safe, relaxing, and memorable experiences for guests across the hotel’s pool, beach, and other leisure areas. You will be the friendly first point of contact, ensuring that facilities are well presented and that guests receive attentive service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide information about recreation facilities and services.
• Distribute and replenish towels, beach items, and other guest amenities.
• Set up and maintain pool, beach, and recreation areas according to hotel standards.
• Keep sun loungers, umbrellas, and surrounding areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
• Monitor recreation zones for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues, reporting concerns promptly.
• Assist guests with enquiries and respond to requests in a professional manner.
• Support the organization of recreational activities and special events when required.
• Coordinate closely with lifeguards, housekeeping, engineering, security, and other departments.
• Handle, store, and maintain recreation equipment properly.
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and security procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Recreation, Pool, or Beach Attendant or in a similar guest‑facing hospitality role.
• Friendly, energetic, and approachable personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for guest service and hospitality.
• Awareness of cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
