Recreation Shift Leader

About the role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Recreation Shift Leader in Sharjah (Al Muntazah Street) for a full-time, non-management position. The role serves as a key resource for all recreation activities on the property, such as pools, beach, game rooms, fitness centre and children's activities, and welcomes guests with friendly, professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Inform guests about available recreation facilities and encourage them to take part in activities
• Promote the rules and regulations of the facilities for the safety and welfare of guests and members
• Respond appropriately to emergencies in line with local operating procedures
• Provide cashier services and process payments for rental equipment, activities, facility rentals and retail sales
• Assist with private functions and group events, and help injured guests until emergency services arrive
• Clean and maintain facilities, equipment and supplies, and report accidents and unsafe conditions to the manager
• Complete safety training and certifications, follow company policies, and maintain confidentiality
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and use clear, professional language

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• No related or supervisory experience required
• CPR certification and first aid certification
• Any certification or training required by local and state agencies

Required skills

• Ability to read small print and visually inspect tools and equipment
• Use of computers and point-of-sale systems
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and move objects up to 25 pounds unaided
