Recruitment Lead – Fintech Payments – Nigerian Market

About the role

The Recruitment Lead will own and drive the talent acquisition strategy for a fast‑growing fintech company focused on payments in Africa. Reporting to the Global Head of People, you will partner with functional leaders, hiring managers and People Partners to attract top‑tier talent across multiple departments and markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, from junior to senior levels.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop workforce planning.
• Design and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with company goals.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through sourcing, networking and employer branding.
• Track recruitment metrics, produce regular reports and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, platforms and recruitment tools.
• Represent the company at job fairs, networking events and branding initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in HR or recruitment within fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven ability to source niche or hard‑to‑find talent in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset.
• Creative problem‑solver with a bias toward continuous learning.

Required skills

• Advanced sourcing using LinkedIn, job boards and social media.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Teamtailor.
