Refrigeration Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Refrigeration Service Technician to keep supermarket refrigeration systems running reliably and efficiently across the UAE. The role involves responding to breakdown calls, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting new store commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown calls and diagnose refrigeration, electrical and control faults on site.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) according to schedules and standards.
• Service and repair centralized rack systems, condensing units, remote and plug‑in display cabinets, and cold rooms.
• Repair and overhaul semi‑hermetic reciprocating and scroll compressors.
• Braze copper components using nitrogen purging to a high standard.
• Detect and fix refrigerant leaks, recover, evacuate to verified vacuum levels and charge systems correctly.
• Replace filter driers and other components following Epta technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and program electronic controllers and supervisory systems (Carel, Danfoss, Eliwell), including electronic expansion valves, sensors and inverters/VFDs.
• Read and work from electrical diagrams and refrigeration schematics.
• Document all jobs digitally in the field app on the same day.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on commercial refrigeration experience, preferably in supermarket or hypermarket environments in the GCC.
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills.
• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical or electrical.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Comfortable using smartphone apps and digital tools (Microsoft 365, field service app).
• Disciplined, reliable and able to manage own workload in the field.
• Valid UAE driving licence is a plus (company can co‑pay for licence acquisition).
