Regional Accountant – MENA

About the role

The Regional Accountant will oversee accounting operations across the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Egypt and other MENA locations, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting and support for the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting transactions, general ledgers, AP, AR and fixed assets for all regional legal entities.
• Oversee vendor payments, supplier accounts, petty‑cash reconciliations and employee reimbursements.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing in accordance with IFRS and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local financial laws, tax regulations (Corporate Tax, VAT, withholding) and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Monitor regional cash flow, bank accounts, liquidity, currency conversion and approve payroll postings.
• Perform variance analysis against budgets, support regional managers with financial data and maintain ERP workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3‑6 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2‑3 years in a multi‑entity regional role.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience in healthcare technology, SaaS or IT services is desirable.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic fluency strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and multi‑country accounting practices.
• Experience with cloud ERP platforms (Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Zoho Books, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
