Regional Financial Controller

About the role

The Regional Financial Controller will lead finance operations across Elevate MENA, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and compliance for all entities in the region. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will manage a team of three and support business leaders with forecasts, cash flow visibility and analysis in a fast‑moving, project‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and year‑end close for MENA entities, delivering accurate results and timely reporting.
• Prepare and review management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations, cash‑flow reports and provide commentary on material movements.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts and intercompany balances.
• Ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies and IFRS across all entities.
• Lead regional statutory audits and coordinate external reporting.
• Develop short‑ and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasts and support liquidity decisions.
• Oversee accounts receivable, collections, billing and accounts payable to reduce overdue receivables.
• Manage compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, coordinating with local advisers.
• Drive automation of finance processes and enhance NetSuite usage.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with at least ten years of relevant finance experience.
• Extensive controllership experience in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment in the Middle East, especially UAE and Saudi Arabia.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory and management reporting, audit, tax compliance, treasury and working‑capital management.
• Experience in a project‑based services business such as sports, entertainment, events or agency work.
