Regional General Manager – UAE Nationals Only

About the role

Etihad is seeking a senior UAE national to lead its commercial strategy for the APAC region. Based in Abu Dhabi, the successful candidate will relocate to Singapore, Thailand or Malaysia and will be responsible for driving sales performance and aligning regional activities with the airline’s global objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, execute and monitor short‑ and long‑term sales plans that align with Etihad’s overall strategy.
• Lead and prioritize selling activities across the APAC market, including resource deployment, channel strategy and customer engagement.
• Champion continuous improvement and standardisation of regional sales processes.
• Introduce new sales techniques and allocate resources to increase revenue and profitability.
• Identify major risks and issues, propose solutions and ensure timely resolution.
• Coach and develop direct reports, fostering leadership and professional growth.
• Utilise data‑driven insights to monitor performance, detect risks and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee the implementation of incentive schemes and ensure effective recognition of sales achievements.

Required profile

• UAE national with a passion for global markets.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of aviation industry experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial or sales leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a multi‑regional environment.
