Regional Road Policing Trainer – Latin America

About the role

The Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) is seeking a Regional Road Policing Trainer for Latin America. The consultant will work with GRSP staff to design and implement a capacity‑building programme for traffic enforcement agencies in selected cities and states across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop training curricula and workshop materials on drink‑driving, helmet use, seat‑belt restraint, and speed management enforcement.
• Deliver face‑to‑face training sessions and on‑the‑ground coaching for police traffic officers.
• Provide mentorship and technical assistance to strengthen enforcement practices.
• Conduct needs assessments and adapt training to local contexts.
• Collaborate with GRSP partners, local Red Cross/Red Crescent societies, and road safety stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in road safety, traffic enforcement, or police training.
• Strong understanding of road safety policies and good‑practice enforcement methods.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills in English (Spanish or Portuguese a plus).
• Ability to travel within Latin America and work in multicultural environments.
