Registered Nurse – Critical Care Unit

About the role

The Royal Khalifa City Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Critical Care Unit (CCU). You will provide safe, compassionate, and individualized care to critically ill cardiac patients, working closely with physicians and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient assessments, develop and monitor individualized care plans, and document findings in the electronic medical record.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide wound care management and assist with invasive and non‑invasive procedures such as DSE, EEG, TEE, CAG, PTCA, IABP, cardioversion, and pacing.
• Deliver life‑support interventions including Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.
• Care for mechanically ventilated patients and ensure safe admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post‑operative care.

Required profile

• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse with the relevant UAE health authority.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written); Arabic communication is desirable.
• Willingness to work across departments and collaborate within an inter‑professional team.
• Proficiency in using an electronic medical record system for clinical documentation.
