Registered Nurse – Nephrology & Dialysis

About the role

The Royal Khalifa City Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Nephrology and Dialysis to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering safe, compassionate care to patients undergoing dialysis while collaborating with physicians and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient assessments, record vital signs, and monitor pre‑, intra‑ and post‑dialysis parameters.
• Prepare and operate dialysis equipment, including assembling extracorporeal circuits, priming lines, and ensuring proper function of monitors and alarms.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and provide wound care while documenting all interventions.
• Assist with invasive and non‑invasive procedures, educate patients and families about their condition, and support discharge planning.

Required profile

• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UAE and a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written); Arabic proficiency is desirable.
• Willingness to work across departments when needed and maintain professional re‑licensure.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Proficiency with dialysis machines and aseptic techniques for access site care.
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care management.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation and clinical data entry.
