Registered Nurse – OB‑GYN Ward

About the role

The Royal Women Hospital Abu Dhabi is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its OB‑GYN ward. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to women and newborns, supporting the interprofessional team, and contributing to continuous improvement in patient safety and education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a learning culture among nurses in the specialist OB‑GYN field.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, supporting audit, KPI tracking and benchmarking.
• Assist the nurse educator with training needs analysis and program delivery.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide emotional support.
• Perform systematic patient assessments, develop and monitor individualized care plans.
• Maintain and update clinical and technical nursing skills.
• Support NICU care: direct critical‑care nursing, medication review, newborn stabilization, and execution of newborn procedures such as tube insertion, gastric lavage, vitamin K administration, IV cannulation, and aseptic venipuncture.
• Conduct newborn assessments, anthropometric measurements and ensure compliance with safety and identification policies.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with advanced education, training or certification in OB‑GYN or related subspecialty.
• Experience in specialist nursing practice and ability to work within an interprofessional team.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and continuous learning.
• Willingness to support NICU duties and newborn care when required.
