Regulatory Reporting Technology Lead

About the role

HSBC is seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Technology Lead to shape the regional strategy for technology reporting, data management and governance across Group Functions Technology in Dubai. As a senior leader within the Global CIO organisation, you will work closely with Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance and other corporate functions to improve reporting quality, automation and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver a consistent framework for regional technology reporting and governance, supporting executives, regulators and external audits.
• Drive adoption of enterprise data platforms, analytics and responsible AI to enable self‑service reporting, workflow optimisation and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain partnerships with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and external regulators to influence strategic decisions and investment prioritisation.
• Promote Group technology standards, architecture principles and shared services to reduce duplication and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• University degree of at least three years’ duration, with valid UAE attestation for foreign qualifications.
• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise technology, data governance or technology strategy in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory environments, enterprise governance and reporting requirements.
• Proven track record developing enterprise‑wide technology and data strategies and establishing reporting and control frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
