Pre‑Sales Solution Architect – Data & AI

About the role

Join IBM's Data & AI Practice as a Senior Solution Architect, driving technical wins on large Data & AI opportunities across the watsonx and Data portfolio. You will own the end‑to‑end solution design, from discovery to compliant submission, for high‑profile public‑sector and enterprise clients in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs/RFIs, build compliance matrices, shape win themes and write technical proposals that score well with evaluation committees.
• Design end‑to‑end Data & AI architectures covering ingestion, lakehouse, governance, model serving and agent orchestration, including sizing for on‑prem, hybrid, sovereign and air‑gapped deployments.
• Build demos and POCs on watsonx Orchestrate, watsonx.ai and watsonx.data using realistic client data, and develop custom Python tools and connectors.
• Lead discovery workshops, executive briefings and live client demonstrations, turning business problems into measurable AI use cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data, analytics or AI, with at least 4 years in customer‑facing pre‑sales or solution architecture.
• Proven record of winning large public‑sector or enterprise bids and owning the technical response end‑to‑end.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM watsonx or Cloud Pak for Data (mandatory).

Required skills

• watsonx Orchestrate, watsonx.ai, watsonx.governance, watsonx.data, IBM Granite, Jais (Arabic LLM).
• Cloud Pak for Business Automation, ODM, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes.
• Python programming for agent tools, API integrations and demo data.
• Data engineering: lakehouse, ETL/ELT, streaming (Kafka/Confluent), data catalogues and lineage.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
