Reinsurance Operations Specialist

About the role

The Reinsurance Operations Specialist is responsible for administering the ceded facultative and treaty reinsurance arrangements purchased by DAMAN. This role ensures the timely and accurate booking of reinsurance transactions while adhering to company procedures and standards. It acts as a critical link between Underwriting, Finance, Claims, IT, Compliance and external partners such as brokers and reinsurers, supporting the financial performance of the organization. The specialist also contributes to the set‑up and maintenance of the P&C Reinsurance System and its integration with financial accounting and reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer ceded facultative and treaty reinsurance arrangements purchased by DAMAN.
• Ensure timely and accurate booking of reinsurance transactions in line with company procedures and standards.
• Serve as a liaison between Underwriting, Finance, Claims, IT, Compliance and external partners (brokers/reinsurers) to support financial performance.
• Participate in the set‑up, configuration and ongoing maintenance of the P&C Reinsurance System.
• Maintain connectivity between the reinsurance system and the company’s financial accounting and reporting systems.
