Rental Collections Coordinator

About the role

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) is hiring a Rental Collections Coordinator in Abu Dhabi. The role monitors customer outstanding balances, follows up on overdue rental payments and ensures timely collection of receivables in line with company policies and agreed payment terms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts, outstanding balances, overdue invoices and receivables ageing.
• Follow up with customers by phone, email and WhatsApp to secure timely payments and meet collection targets.
• Track payment commitments and follow up on delayed, bounced and pending payments.
• Coordinate with Finance, Rental, Sales and Operations teams to resolve payment discrepancies and outstanding account issues.
• Communicate account balances and payment obligations professionally while keeping positive customer relationships.
• Escalate overdue, disputed and high-risk accounts to management and support legal recovery proceedings when required.
• Issue payment reminders and collection notices in line with company policies and regulations.
• Provide outstanding balance and payment status updates to the Sales team before lease end or vehicle off-hiring.
• Maintain accurate customer ledger records and collection activity records with Finance.
• Prepare daily and weekly collection reports, ageing summaries and overdue account updates for management.
• Ensure compliance with credit control procedures, keep customer financial information confidential and support improvements in collection efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable or credit control; car rental experience preferred.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and follow-up skills, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, customer dispute resolution and relationship management.

Required skills

• MS Office, especially Excel.
• Speed System knowledge is an advantage.
