Research Contracts Specialist

About the role

The Research Contracts Specialist supports the administration of grants and contracts at Khalifa University, ensuring compliance with university policies, financial regulations, and ethical research standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing processes and procedures for contracts and grants to meet university requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate research proposals and contracts, ensuring compliance with budgetary agreements, university policies, and sponsor guidelines.
• Provide guidance to Principal Investigators on grant and contract protocols, financial and administrative matters.
• Facilitate understanding of research proposals, budgets, and approval processes for faculty and staff.
• Contribute to the development and review of project budgets for internal and external grants.
• Maintain accurate research project data and ensure its availability for reporting and decision‑making.
• Serve as liaison between the university, funding agencies, and contract entities.
• Support the Director for Research Services with administrative tasks and strategic reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Science‑related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in research contract or grant administration.
