Restaurant General Manager - Michelin-Starred Indian Restaurant

About the role

An experienced Restaurant General Manager is sought to lead an upcoming Michelin-starred Indian restaurant on Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, with an immediate start. The role is central to establishing the restaurant's presence in the UAE within a prestigious international fine-dining concept.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and maintain Michelin-level service and hospitality standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor and manage the restaurant team.
• Drive guest satisfaction and build relationships with VIP and regular clients.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, labour costs and operational expenses.
• Work with the culinary team to ensure seamless food and service operations.
• Develop operational procedures and service standards, and monitor performance to grow revenue and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, health and safety requirements and company policies.
• Represent the restaurant professionally in the Abu Dhabi luxury hospitality community and support the opening process.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager or Operations Manager in Michelin-starred or high-end fine-dining restaurants.
• Experience in luxury hospitality, fine dining or internationally recognised restaurant brands.
• Fluent English; Arabic is highly desirable.
• A strong network and understanding of the UAE hospitality market is an advantage.
• Candidates with Michelin or fine-dining credentials and international restaurant experience will be given priority.
