Restaurant General Manager – Michelin‑Starred Indian Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead the launch of a new Michelin‑starred Indian restaurant on Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi. The role combines operational excellence with a strong focus on delivering premium guest experiences in a high‑profile fine‑dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations, ensuring Michelin‑level service and hospitality standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor and manage a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Drive guest satisfaction, build relationships with VIP and regular clientele, and monitor feedback.
• Manage financial performance, including budgets, labour costs, revenue generation and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to guarantee seamless food and service delivery.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, service standards and compliance with UAE health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability through performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Proven experience as General Manager, Restaurant Manager or Operations Manager in Michelin‑starred or high‑end fine‑dining establishments.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and premium dining operations (highly desirable).
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse, international team in a fast‑paced environment.
