Restaurant General Manager – Reunion

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead the Reunion restaurant at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The role involves overseeing all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, driving profitability and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.
• Recruit, train, onboard and manage staff, conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work environment.
• Develop and implement revenue‑maximising strategies, control costs and achieve profitability targets.
• Manage inventory, food costs and vendor relationships to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, handle complaints and use feedback to improve service quality.
• Plan and execute marketing initiatives, promotions and special events to increase market presence.
• Analyse financial reports and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and drive growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
• Proven track record of managing P&L statements and meeting financial targets.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities with experience in multicultural environments.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant management systems.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) software.
