Retail Leasing Manager

About the role

DAMAC Properties is hiring a Retail Leasing Manager in Dubai. The role covers leasing and business development, tenant relationship management, financial monitoring, market research, administration and compliance, and leading a small leasing team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement leasing strategies to reach occupancy and revenue targets, and secure prospective tenants through direct marketing, networking and broker relationships.
• Conduct property viewings and presentations, negotiate lease terms, renewals and amendments, and prepare and review lease agreements.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective tenants, handle enquiries, manage lease renewals, rent reviews and retention initiatives.
• Monitor rental income and occupancy, recommend rental rates, prepare leasing budgets, forecasts and performance reports, and work with the finance team on invoicing and receivables.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and rental rates, and recommend ways to improve occupancy and profitability.
• Maintain accurate leasing records, ensure leases comply with laws and company policies, and prepare regular reports for management.
• Supervise and mentor leasing executives and coordinators, set performance objectives, provide training and guide the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Marketing or a related field; professional real estate or property management certification is an advantage.
• 3-5 years of leasing or property management experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience managing commercial, residential or mixed-use property portfolios is preferred.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation and sales skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of leasing practices, contracts and property regulations.
• Financial and commercial acumen, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Leadership and team management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
