Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

A retail team in Dubai is looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to deliver excellent customer service, drive sales growth and provide an outstanding in-store experience for every guest. This is a contract position.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers, understand their needs and recommend suitable products
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to drive sales
• Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and upselling
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and POS operations
• Maintain store presentation, visual merchandising standards and shelf replenishment
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with team members to keep store operations running smoothly
• Keep up to date on product knowledge, promotions and store policies
• Take part in inventory counts and restocking, and support loss prevention and cash-handling procedures

Required profile

• 1-3 years of retail sales or customer service experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable manner
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Accurate cash handling and POS transaction skills
• Basic product knowledge and quick learning of new product lines
• Time management and organisational abilities
• Preferred: experience as a sales promoter, sales associate or sales executive; background in luxury or high-end retail; multilingual proficiency such as English and Arabic; strong upselling and cross-selling skills; familiarity with Dubai's retail market
