About the role

The Support Staff role at Ace Hardware involves maintaining a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment that enhances the customer's shopping experience. Success in this role will be measured by meeting sales targets, operating the POS system efficiently, adhering to store procedures, and contributing to a positive corporate image through merchandising. The role also includes assisting with deliveries, pricing, inventory tasks, and participating in store events such as new openings and product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level customer service and keep store areas tidy and organized.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system accurately and use selling techniques to achieve sales targets.
• Learn product uses and benefits to advise customers and apply merchandising principles.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, displaying goods, and ensuring products are available for purchase.
• Comply with in‑store pricing and ticketing procedures to ensure accurate pricing and prevent losses.
• Participate in stock takes, new store openings, and product or seasonal launches as required.

Required profile

• Completion of secondary school education.
• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of store operations and POS systems.
