Risk Manager (French Speaker)

About the role

RENECO implements a global conservation strategy to restore and preserve Houbara bustard populations in North Africa and Asia, through research-based projects in Morocco, Central Asia and the Arabian Peninsula. As its activities expand and new conservation projects emerge, the company is hiring a Risk Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role covers enterprise risk governance, risk registers, heatmaps, mitigation oversight and risk reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain a comprehensive Risk Management Framework aligned with COSO principles and ADDA standards
• Define risk management policies, procedures and governance structures at corporate level
• Maintain updated risk registers covering key organizational risks
• Lead identification and assessment of risks across business processes and projects
• Develop risk heatmaps and matrices to support management decisions
• Facilitate risk workshops with leadership and operational teams
• Oversee implementation of risk mitigation strategies and internal controls, assign risk ownership and monitor their effectiveness
• Support contingency and business continuity plans, and continuously monitor emerging threats
• Produce periodic risk reports and maintain a corporate risk dashboard for senior management
• Advise management on risk governance and internal control, and deliver training to build a risk-aware culture

Required profile

• Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g. Certified Risk Manager)
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Governance or Compliance
• Experience liaising with regulators, external auditors and government authorities
• Fluent English; Arabic or French fluency is a plus

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of COSO, ISO 31000, ADDA standards and internal control standards
• Ability to design and deliver training on risk management and controls
• Experience with risk management systems, risk assessment tools and reporting software
