Road Safety Coordinator (Oil & Gas EPC)

About the role

Target Engineering, an EPC and industrial infrastructure company with 50+ years of experience, is looking for an experienced Road and Safety Coordinator to support its Oil & Gas EPC projects. The role focuses on transportation safety and road risk management, with a strong emphasis on IVMS data management, reporting and compliance, and on implementing road safety programs, journey management systems and transport safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage road safety and transport safety systems for Oil & Gas EPC projects
• Monitor, analyse and generate IVMS data reports and performance dashboards
• Deliver HSE, transport safety and road safety inductions for employees, drivers and contractors
• Run HSE awareness sessions and road safety campaigns, and prepare training materials
• Implement and monitor Journey Management Plans (JMP)
• Take part in transport safety and road safety risk assessments
• Carry out vehicle inspections and support emergency response plans and procedures
• Maintain transport safety databases, records and documentation, and liaise with project teams on HSE compliance

Required profile

• Minimum 4-6 years of HSE experience in any industry; EPC O&G experience is advantageous
• Minimum 1 year of direct experience managing and implementing road safety programs, including IVMS data generation, monitoring and reporting
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in any discipline
• Valid UAE driving licence and NEBOSH certification

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of IVMS software and reporting tools
• Ability to conduct HSE and transport safety inductions and to prepare training materials
• Awareness of H2S hazards and breathing apparatus (where applicable)
• Understanding of vehicle safety devices, fleet safety requirements and transport emergency response planning
• Communication, coordination and reporting skills, and ability to maintain accurate databases and generate analytical safety reports
