About the role
The Road Safety & Incident Management Specialist will oversee road safety inspections, incident response, and accident analysis for autonomous delivery vehicle operations in Abu Dhabi. The role coordinates with police, transport authorities, insurers and repair workshops to ensure swift resolution of incidents and proper closure of cases.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular road safety inspections of operating areas and routes, identifying risks related to road conditions, traffic and operations.
- Ensure vehicles are equipped with required safety equipment and support development of safety and incident‑response procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to operations staff on traffic regulations and accident handling.
- Respond promptly to accidents and safety incidents, secure the scene, and coordinate with police, authorities, roadside assistance, towing and repair workshops.
- Collect and preserve evidence including photos, videos, vehicle and witness details, and police reference numbers.
- Manage vehicle recovery, repair and return to operation.
- Conduct preliminary accident analysis using site conditions, footage and system data, and prepare objective investigation reports with corrective action recommendations.
- Maintain accident evidence records and ensure no liability is admitted without company authorization.
- Own and improve the accident‑reporting and insurance‑claims process, notifying insurers within required timeframes and coordinating documentation through to case closure.
- Track claim status, update management and escalate delayed or disputed claims as needed.
Required profile
- Diploma or equivalent in road safety, traffic management, automotive engineering, logistics or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
- Experience in road safety, accident handling, fleet management or motor insurance claims, preferably within the UAE.
- Good knowledge of UAE traffic regulations and insurance‑claims processes; experience coordinating with UAE police, authorities, insurers and workshops is a plus.
- Valid UAE driving licence with a clean safety record and a reliable vehicle for travel across Abu Dhabi.
- Strong analytical, emergency‑judgement and documentation/report‑writing abilities.
