Robotic Coding Teacher

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort chain, is looking for a Robotic Coding Teacher for its kids club in Ras Al-Khaimah. The teacher plans, runs and supervises robotics, coding and STEM activities for children, while keeping them safe and ensuring a positive, engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and run robotics, coding and STEM activities for different age groups and skill levels, introducing programming concepts, logical thinking and computational thinking
• Teach children to build, program and operate simple robots with age-appropriate kits and coding platforms, and design hands-on challenges and games
• Supervise children during every session, enforce safety rules and report accidents or hazards to the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager
• Maintain the robotics and coding area, check equipment and keep an inventory of kits, computers, tablets and learning materials
• Communicate professionally with children, parents and guardians, give feedback on children's progress and gather feedback to improve activities
• Follow activity schedules, coordinate with the Entertainment team, keep attendance and activity records, and help organise special events and workshops

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, diploma or relevant qualification in robotics, computer science, engineering, education or STEM education preferred
• Previous experience teaching robotics, coding or STEM to children highly preferred
• Good English and Russian; additional languages are an advantage
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays, and physically fit for rescue, standing and outdoor duties

Required skills

• Familiarity with educational robotics kits, block-based coding platforms and basic programming concepts
• Ability to explain technical concepts simply and engage children
• Teamwork with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams, and understanding of child safeguarding
