Room Attendant – Housekeeping

About the role

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, corridors, public areas and pantries at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. The role requires adherence to the hotel’s high standards of service and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms and vacuuming carpets.
• Inspect rooms for proper condition, report any repair needs to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas and pantry equipment.
• Answer guest questions and requests courteously, providing extra items or information as needed.
• Record relevant information on assignment sheets for future reference.
• Report special‑attention guests, incidents or unusual situations at the end of each shift.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items in coordination with the Order Taker.
• Provide turn‑down service according to hotel standards.

Required profile

• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic inventory handling for room supplies and pantry items.
• Guest service orientation and problem‑solving mindset.
